Cherrystone

A new coat for O’Brien & Brough’s Cherrystone.

Created with cocktails in mind, this whiskey is a blend of O’Brien & Brough house distilled rye and a number of uncommon rye whiskeys distilled throughout the US and Canada. Classic American oak-aged flavors of caramel and vanilla pair with tart apple on the nose to create the perfect whiskey for sipping neat or for crafting all your favorite cocktails.

Produced in partnership with the Rhode Island Black Heritage Society, this Preservation Society of Newport County exhibition explores a largely unknown but important chapter in American history. Gilded Age Newport in Color documents a lesser known story of Newport, Rhode Island in the Gilded Age (1865-1915). It highlights a paralell community in which African heritage families came together to promote their own economic and social well-being through self-reliance, entrepreneurism, political advancement and cultural interchange.

The Preservation Society of Newport County’s Wild Imagination exhibition brought together a menagerie of animal-themed artworks and other objects, from paintings, sculptures, photographs and fashions to fancy dog collars and sea creatures blown in glass.

Americans’ relationship with animals transformed during the Gilded Age (1870-1914). With a focus on Newport history, the exhibition explored how this exciting, tumultuous period shaped the role of animals in our modern world.
